Seton Academy recognizes the challenges and benefits of a homeschool education. Several of our faculty are experienced homeschool instructors who have also taught extensively in the traditional school model. While there are strong advocates for homeschool and traditional school approach, we wanted to explore opportunities to collaborate, communicate and partner with families engaged in the homeschool model. We perceive this approach to help enrich the experience for both these families and for Seton Academy.
Throughout the school year, many homeschool families join Seton Academy students and faculty for a day of fellowship each Friday. Leaders from both the school and the homeschool community partner to facilitate teachings, activities, projects, etc. to all the students. Friday Fellowship has proven to be a wonderful experience this year. We look forward to continuing this model and exploring ways to expand in the future.
